Almost 2 weeks ago.. rearing the end of October the insanity began with preparations of SEMA. Is the catalog printed okay? did they get the product they were supposed to get? have those people been paid? giveaways on point? booth display reach okay? electric ordered? lead retrieval sorted? models booked? flights paid? hotel reservations locked? Somewhere in there a few things will and did get fucked up. No models? Well, this is a first for me not to have a few models to help entice potential customers into the booth and as it turns out, it wasn't so bad without 'em. Well perhaps only because i had a big staff manning such a tiny 10x20 booth there would have almost not been enough space for another person.

So with so much preparation you can just imagine the anxiety level being above normal as is always, nothing goes smoothly, so which shoe will drop first? I would say Murphy from "Murphy's Law" was working full overtime this SEMA. Large conglomerates to tiny companies like mine the stories of Murphy visiting were all echoing all over. Needless to say, the show must go on, and it did. Also another first, instead of displaying in the busier "performance hall" i chose to go in the appearance chemical section (BFE imho). Don't think i'll be doing that one again! I must rather standing out amongst performance companies (and friends!) instead of trying to stand out amongst other chemical peddlers "slime"bags (pun definitely intended since i was right beside them for the week.)

Maybe i am writing this a little too soon since my thoughts are still jumbled and they are coming out as incogitative. Not to mention my body is still clamatizing to the lack of alcohol it has grown accustomed to in the last 10 days or so. On that note... the show was great... lots of interest... the parties i sponsored were ram packed and everything in between was overall a success. In the next few days i'll post more SEMA related things but for now... im out! Good bye Las Vegas, until next year.
