Living in the clouds used to be a saying for those with heightened aspirations. Basically a term reserved for telling people to snap back to reality and stop dreaming. Well, the day is now, 2010 and everyone is in the cloud to some extent, except if you live in the mountains without wifi or even a basic CDMA1 connection (where i wouldn't mind being btw). Pretty much an involuntary participation, let's just say it would be very difficult to not mingle in the cloud.

Right now, i've gotten off my blackberry and switched back to an Android phone. In the last year or so i have switched phones about 14 times. I've been on everything from iphones 3g, 2g, nokias, multiple blackberries, other androids and it seems i keep getting drawn back to either Android, Blackberry and iPhone. So when i switched to this HTC HD2 (gsm), basically the sister phone to HTC EVO (non-gsm). The fastest and largest screen to date. I guess i could go into the specs but that'll get very boring and techie so ill just say, the screen is 4.3" (almost an inch larger than iphone 4), 1 Ghz processor, 1/2 oz heavier than the iphone and does double duty as a wifi hotspot! Needless to say, it's a great phone that comes with Windows mobile so spent a little time and cooked it. It's now a dual boot between Windows and Android 2.2 firmware.

Setting up my phone book was about 3027 times easier to do than with blackberry which reminds me of Apple computers back in the day, proprietary this, proprietary that. Which basically means lots of time fumbling just to get your phone prepared. So, i signed into the phone with my google credentials and bahm! im pretty much done. Anything else done after that point is just personalizing it and making it more awesome.

So now that my contacts, calendar, and basics are all synchronized i wondered if there was a way sync/backup SMS, call records and any other Android fixins. So after reading a few blogs here and there the best thing to do is "root" it and get some backup software that will copy and backup every single stitch of coding. "Rooting" allows complete control over your phone if you know how to manipulate that kind of power... Muwahahahaha.... Okay, but seriously, one can write all sorts of Linux based applications since the phone's OS is based on the best operating system out there, ...Linux. But it can just as easily brick your phone if you know nothing about it. And by Brick i mean it will be as useless a a brick!

So as i search for a way to backup my phone and all the bells and whistles ive setup and customized. Ultimately, i would like to have it backed up in realtime on the "cloud" (explained in the above photo). However, until there i recommend "Astro File Manager", "Sprite Mobile Backup" seemed pretty cool, MyBackup Pro is excellent and lastly, Picasa (photos only).
So there you have it! Not exactly all moved into the cloud but i suspect very shortly it will be even easier.

And as i write this blog, I should also note that moving in the cloud does raise a few things to think about, like privacy issues.

With the year ending and everyone, everywhere is scrambling to get things done, i find myself in the same stress induced dilemma. Today, before i catch a flight to another distant land i took a second and realized (as i have so many times) that the things that mean the most are flashing before my eyes. In this blog post i want to introduce you to one of my favorite nephew/cousins Chris. His dad Ryan was like my little sister growing up except of course, he isn't my sister, but i think you get the point. Actually, he is my dad's brother, although younger than me by a few years. By now i'm sure you're wondering a few things, let's just say my Grand Dad hasnt hung his spurs up yet! Growing up, i considered him my lil' brother, and hell no i did not call him uncle!  hahahh so a few years ago he got married to the coolest, sensible, smart, good looking girl and she can cook!  I guess that was sorta the first realization that life is moving at such a rapid pace. I'm not even close to anything like that and here comes Chris. If ice had a role model, it would be Chris. The coolest ever, however, he knows it and knows just how to tug on your heartstrings when he is ready.

Chris at maybe 2 years old... enjoying boooooost!
The experience of riding in a turbocharged (boosted) car is unreal and even baby Chris knows it! Chin blood strong.

This is Chris dancing some Ska to "Eek a Mouse"! 4 years old and it seems like he is just going way too fast! He needs to slow down.

And lastly... for now is Chris still 4, after about a week of playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare he has gotten addicted to the terrorists in the game saying "saka la halla" Wish i knew what he was saying but it was too funny. Had to share.

Seems that everyone is getting married and having babies. Brings me to a grass is greener moment. Grass seems so green and lush, but maybe there is a boatload of manure and a much higher water bill to get it so green. LOL.

Either way, for now i will enjoy being the awesome uncle to Chris and his brother Jakey (also a super cool kid, love him plenty). Yea, for now i'll skip diaper duty and play some xbox 360 and other ill sh*t with 'em. Hmmm next milestone will have to be about 15-16... i wonder if Mommy & Daddy will let me take their boys to Cuba for a monumental experience.  I think i'll have a few years to soften them up! Recheck list... ohh yea i guess i can take 'em hunting, fishing and go-karting until then.

Moral of my post? Take a minute and reflect on some of the things that mean something to you and just enjoy the moment. No matter what you're pursuing, whether be it money, fame, recognition or power, it will mean nothing in the grand scheme of thing. >>>> live.life.livity.

Need a fix of some freshly squeezed foolishness to satisfy your insatiable attitude of my absurdity?
Well, almost a week into my blog and i've realized it is time to start tweaking things and, well, RSS feed setup seems as good as any. RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication," that's really easy to understand. So basically, whether online on the computer or via mobile phone you can access a news source, blog etc. There are tons of apps and other plugins that will bring up the blog and keep you abreast with the crap i serve up.

Remember that movie a few decades ago? Starring Patrick Dempsey before his uber fame on Grey's Anatomy. Yea, in that movie he proved that you can't buy love, although im not convinced cuz you can buy a whole lotta lust, and for some, lust = love! Either way, this guy just spent a whoooole lotta money to customize the hell outta this crap! and by crap i literally mean crap! You know in every region they have nicknames for people like this, in America it would be a big.bowl.o.rice! However, since it's somewhere in the Middle East, i'd have to say it is a pot.o.basmati; it might cost a bunch more but it's still rice! DWL\\ You bring the gravy, here is the rice!

Hey on a side note, he has great musical taste- err well the video's author.

I hope as i continue blogging, throughout all my randomness i can really shed some light on some true brilliance. This video i saw maybe 2 years ago still resonates as a very simple, seemingly low budget music video that is nothing short of kick ass! Keep in mind im not even a huge fan of the music although very cool and chill.

THIS IS FUNNY!! lol Parodies are awesome.

And lastly, here is commercialization at it's finest!

If there was one thing i was i was naturally able to kick ass at growing up would be "juggling"! The only way I could handle it like that we'd have to be using a beach ball in a zero gravity atmosphere - even then it's wishful thinking! I searched for kids doing it and some of the kids i saw make me realize there is a position for all of us in every scenario; in football (soccer) mine is drinking beer in the stands and give them the props they deserve! lol so here are a few of the best i know of!

Jeremy Lynch, played football with arsenal @ 15 years old! just Sick.

hahah these random kids in Mexico make it look too easy!

Soufian Touzani from Netherlands! I wonder if puff on some of that cheese before training

And then here is a 12 year old kid, he's probably the most popular kid on the football field!

Missa Wooo..This guy is Korean nation champion and guinness world record holder. Well up to 2007 i think

This 10 Year old boy got more skills in his dirty socks than you and all your friends put together!

And then of course everyone there is the boss of freestyle juggling!
When only countries have national anthem this guy has his own, i dont think Sergio Mendes can perform Mas Que Nada without a visual of Ronaldinho doing something superhuman! Actually, i think he is the reason B.E.P. remade that track! lol

Well, this video of Jeremy Lynch on Britain's Got Talent was just over the top - when it comes to choreographed skill and rhythm - Enjoy!

However, im blogging about fishing, because well, i love fishing.

About time to put down the pizza and start getting fit! It might be fall going into winter but you'll probably need the extra 2 seasons to get in shape for next summer. Well i found a great way to help you not just get fit but it might even improve your cool rating by a few decibels... err well that is if u do it right, if not you will be guaranteed to look like a total idiot, or edyot as they'd say in Jamaica. No matter what, have fun, enjoy yourself and give the pizza a break!

And like Elephant Man say, you dont need to stop drinking or even take off your 5 lbs of jewelry to do this! And for the ladies, sketel gear is optional but results improve the slutter you look.
AHHAHA Ele, big up, most respect don.

This last few weeks has been ridiculously long and lots of work. As the time gets closer to my return to Jamaica, i keep thinking of the beach and somehow i came across these brilliant ads... being in marketing world, i had to pause and pay a moment of tribute for a great marketing campaign. Now if only i'll have company like that when i go to Jamaica i'd be set.

this ad reminds me of the time that i lose my shorts and i had to walk to the other side of the beach..  ever heard of carpet burn? sand burn is worst. LOL

I found myself in Great River one Sunday afternoon looking for some food. This area is well known for great seafood but alas, Sundays no restaurants are open so i searched for an open restaurant with my friend Robert, he led me to cross this God-forsaken bridge that was barely wide enough for me who is already slim as it is and you could feel the dang thing shaking! Oh yea, generally it just felt very unsafe - yea there are barriers to stop trespassers but this is Jamaica, that's like an invitation! What i didn't like was the thin ass wire they had for handle railing... lucky for me it wasnt windy as evident from the stillness of the water below.

That's Robert always ready to soldier through shit.
And that's the "bridge" actually it's untop of a big pipe. lol

These are pics from the other side, looking out to Sea. nice eh?

That's a bit of the pipe i walked on... looks big from here but yea, it's not! lol and that is only showing about 1/4 the actual distance.
This is Ginger Firey.. LOL an awesome Russian automobile parked up at said closed restaurant.
Anyways, here is to seeing a different aspect of wonderful Jamaica!

This Forza 3 Rendering is an exactly replica to one in Temecula, California. Prolific Custom tuner Myles Bautista has spent the last 20+ years dedicated in building anything japanese to go uber-fast! This project is no exception. Leaving the factory, the stock Evo 8 ( aka David Banner) version boasts some impressive figures, 280hp out of a 4cyl boosted motor, All Wheel Drive, 0-60 in 3.5!! This HULK Edition is just like it's namesake and just as unique! Widebody, bigger Motor, basically it's on steroids! Myles, owner of REV HARD & Mak-Speed is set to debut this super monster at SEMA 2010 - with an estimated final hp rating of 950whp.

So as i continue on this path of bloggin.. albeit aimless. Today there is actual stuff going on, besides the madness about to barrel at me. Special congrats to one of my long time friends, he has his first born arrive this morning after a crazy 10 hours? no 12 hours? I tried to stay up for the good news but crashed at about 9am for an hour nap. So, WORLD say What's up to Kyle Jones! Congrats again Kev & Barb! Good job!

So when Jah give one him tek back one. Referring to the recent passing of  Gregory Isaacs. Not only was he quoted in countless guys pickup lines to girls (referring to NIGHT NURSE, of course) but he was a real super icon in the world of reggae and Jamaican Artists.

Gregory Isaac was truly a prolific artist releasing a few hundred albums, closer to 500 i think! He died from a long battle with lung cancer. My condolences goes out to his family , friends and the millions of like minded fans. Rest in peace rasta fari.

While the fiyah a blaze high, i going to ask your opinion on a new iconic stamp i want to use for all my creative work i do. It represents strength and some deep sentiments. Anyways, let me know what you think! With out without the tribal Judah gear?

Here is a funny ads from the past  LOL - it's hilarious.
Anyways, HAVE fun and be safe out there!!

It was like yesterday, umm 1990? no maybe 1991... either way, i was still in high school and The dancehall queen, Carlene could move in ways only a bit of molded jello could jiggle and before you get grossed out, i mean it in the sexiest possible way. She could move!! So when my boy told me he was now producing the infamous show i didnt hitch to check it out. Contestant fly in from all across the globe, Japanese, European, American, you name it. Here are a few pics snapped with my iphone and rolled through cs4 for a little nostalgic effect. -fyi- although this is a reknown international competition, it is the olympics of the ghetto people, and i love it! Yea that's right, i love ghetto sessions/parties as much as i enjoy uptown Soirees

Probably like ghetto tings more, the patrons tend to be more "real" -

I wish i had a better pic of this girl, she is actually wearing a cardboard box, which if i remember is supposed to be her "clarks" and she did a routine with that song Vybz Kartel did about Clarks, very original and a big crowd favorite!
