If you didn't know me you'd think it is so self centered to have your own domain, and well, i agree. lol I feel the same way about twitter and foursquare but ill save those two stalker_app reviews for another time lol
Back in 2004, I had 2 friends who constantly played pranks on each other. Sometimes these pranks would come with a cost, but monetary cost wasn't an issue, mainly just pride lol. One day one of them bought the other person's namesake as a domain and built a fake website with all the bells and whistles. He then did some SEO and linked it to all their mutual and not so mutual friends. Needless to say, the site was operational for months (if memory serves correctly) without his knowledge. Ummm so before i became prey to that kinda tomfoolery, i snatched my domain with the quickness! Lots of their friends still think he might into some really weird stuff but too embarrassed to ask him about it, lol.
Since then ive paid for the domain and maintained it on my web server with no real content. Maybe directing this blog to my domain is in order? we'll we shall see!
